Hi, my name is Destinee. As you can tell I’m very short; 4’2 to be exact. I’ve dealt with little weight issues since being in high school. I was told by my doctor that I needed to be no more than 98 pounds. So at 17 being 120ish I was considered overweight. Over the years I’ve gained more weight, and seeing that I’m Jamaican it didn’t make it any better. We love food! I decided on May 15, 2015 that something had to give. I checked my weight and I was 158 pounds. I felt so disgusted. And since I’m short, it showed a lot. Since that day I cut out everything. No carbs, no sweets, no soda, Which is my weakness. I started going to the gym every morning and wouldn’t eat past 8pm. Last month I hit my goal and I am now 125 lbs, almost what I was in high school. Being focused and remaining dedicated goes a long way. Moral of this story is, nothing happens before It’s time. I’m glad I finally decided to do something about it, but not when people where telling me I was getting fat, but when I felt enough was enough.
