The ups and downs of a weight loss journey are never-ending. Self-doubt during this process can destroy your confidence and progress. I’ve had many of those moments, trust me! Reassuring myself with positive reinforcement has helped tremendously! I would like to share a few and hopefully they will have the same effect:
1.) I DESERVE TO BE HAPPY.


2.) MY BODY DESERVES BETTER.


3.) I WILL NOT STOP UNTIL I GET THE RESULTS THAT I DESIRE.


4.) ONE CUPCAKE WILL NOT CAUSE ME TO GAIN WEIGHT, BUT 20 CUPCAKES WILL.


5.) MY HEALTH IS MY TOP PRIORITY.
6.) I WILL WORK AS HARD ON MY HEALTH AS I DO FOR OTHER THINGS THAT HAVE LESS SIGNIFICANCE.


7.) SACRIFICING MY HEALTH FOR TEMPORARY HAPPINESS IN THE FORM OF FOOD WILL NOT HELP ME MENTALLY OR PHYSICALLY.


  


8.) STOP HUSTLING BACKWARDS! ONE STEP FORWARD IS POINTLESS IF I’M GOING TO TAKE 2 STEPS BACKWARD EACH TIME.


9.) THIS UNHEALTHY MEAL/SNACK/DRINK WILL ADD BACK EVERY CALORIE I JUST BURNED. IS IT WORTH IT?


10.) I AM NOT HUNGRY, I AM BORED. AND IF I AM ABLE TO SAY THAT I AM BORED, THEN THAT MEANS THAT I HAVE TIME TO DO SOMETHING THAT WILL IMPROVE MY LIFE.


11.) MY BODY AND MY GOOD HEALTH IS THE FOUNDATION FOR EVERYTHING ELSE THAT I WANT TO ACCOMPLISH; NOTHING ELSE IS MORE IMPORTANT.


12.) I USED TO WEIGH AN ENTIRE FIRST GRADER MORE THAN WHAT I CURRENTLY WEIGH. STAY FOCUSED.


13.) MY HEALTH AND HAPPINESS RELIES ON THE DECISIONS THAT I CHOOSE TO MAKE. 


14.) DO YOU REMEMBER HOW YOU FELT WHEN YOU WERE AT YOUR BREAKING POINT? 


15.) MY BODY IS NOT A TRASHCAN. 


16.) AFTER I EAT THIS UNHEALTHY FOOD, MY PROBLEMS WILL STILL BE PRESENT.


17.) IF I HAVE TIME TO SCROLL SOCIAL MEDIA, THEN I HAVE TIME TO WORK OUT.


18.) I AM NOT TOO TIRED TO WORKOUT OUT IF I AM NOT TOO TIRED TO WATCH TV.


19.) MY WEIGHT LOSS JOURNEY HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ANYTHING OR ANYONE ELSE. THIS IS 100% MY RESPONSIBILITY. 


20.) COMPARING MY JOURNEY TO OTHERS IS A FORM OF SELF-HATRED. 


21.) I HAVE TO LOVE MYSELF ENOUGH TO KNOW THAT I’M WORTHY OF WHAT I AM FIGHTING FOR.


  

These affirmations always feel me back in and help me stay focused. Don’t depend on anyone or anything else but your own strength and faith when it comes to your journey. It’s yours.
