Day 4! I hope you’re all doing great and staying focused! The biggest challenge you face during your weight loss journey is CONSISTENCY. I’m praying that you are learning consistency during this challenge, it is key to long lasting results. Today’s exercise of the day:
This variation of lunges possesses such a ladylike name, but pack a powerful punch! One of the best things about curtsy lunges, they are a bit easier on the knees.
Start with feet shoulder width apart.
Hold right leg at an angle behind left leg, lunge down (as if you are curtsying).
Repeat on opposite leg. 20 reps per leg. Try to do twice if you can.
Add a pair of Dumbbells if you want to add extra weight and challenge yourself further.
BENEFITS OF THIS EXERCISE:
You are really working your lower body with this exercise: your core, glutes, thighs, and hips are all involved. Helps with leg strength, which is important for stability during workouts.
WORKOUT SONG OF THE DAY:
I love this song when I’m lifting weights, the tempo keeps you at a nice pace and the hook pushes you to go hard. Fight the urge to do the “Drake hands” while working out.
