30 Days, 30 Workouts: Day 1 of 30.
Hello! We are ready to knock this fluff away!! I am going to be posting a different workout every day, some you may already be familiar with. We are starting with:
Don’t be fooled by the cute name… These are not as easy as they sound! I was introduced to this variation of crunches by my trainer Stephanie during one of my personal training sessions. Laaawwwwd, this is a challenging exercise! But no pain, no gain!
HOW-TO: Start by laying on a flat surface. Raise your legs as illustrated in the picture above. You can either lay your hands flat or have them tucked under your booty for a little support. Now, SPELL out the alphabet one letter at a time with your feet (capital letters preferred). Repeat if you’re up to it!
BENEFITS OF THIS EXERCISE:
1.) Helps to build a stronger core
2.) build better posture
3.) improves your balance
4.) tones abdominal muscles
Please be sure to do these PROPERLY! If done incorrectly, you can cause back and neck strain.
Also, if you have a poor diet, you will not be able to maximize the results this exercise should provide.
WORKOUT SONG OF THE DAY:
Unless you reside under a rock, then I’m pretty sure that you have heard Rihanna’s newest banger, “Work.” This song will definitely get you moving! Add it to your playlist if you haven’t already.
